The Best Budget Hotel in Paris!
It was a serendipitous moment when I stumbled upon Hotel Bloum in Paris. I went to Paris on a very tight budget and tried to do a hotel hostel situation, and to no surprise, was not for me. After immediately checking in and out of my hostel “adventure,” I had no idea where I would go. Imagine a movie scene of a damsel in distress, lost in a foreign country where she doesn’t speak the language, dragging their oversized suitcase full of clothes they’ll never wear, looking like a true tourist. I’ve never felt more American than in that moment. I came across Hotel Bloum, and as I arrived, it felt like home.
I love an aesthetic atmosphere, and Hotel Bloum did not disappoint in that department. The green paneling with the gold lettering and not to mention their secure key card entrance, I was sold.. When you walk in, not only are you greeted by friendly (yes, French are friendly) staff, but you’re greeted with decadent textured wallpaper that is these gorgeous blooming murals, velvet furniture lounge area, detailed crystal bar with all the gold fixtures. It’s giving an overall swanky-as-hell vibe that I am absolutely here for.
After an award-winning entrance, I was skeptical of the rooms, but let me tell you, they did not fall short. If you’ve traveled in Europe, you know how uncomfortable most rooms are with stiff mattresses and 40-year-old musky carpet. The rooms at Hotel Bloum were very luxurious, with pillow top mattresses, closet space, coffee makers (huge deal), and all the bathroom essentials you would need. Pure Bliss, my friends.
Let’s talk location. Superb. I personally loved this district of Paris, the 9th arrondissement. I felt completely safe exploring new coffee shops, restaurants, speakeasies, and museums. Plus it’s a close walk to city transportation spending on if you prefer bus or train! I tend to walk a lot when I travel, like a lot, 10-15+ miles per day. Hotel Bloom was an easy jaunt to The Lourve and Seine River and just a 20-minute sca-daddle to the Eiffel Tower.
I’d recommend this hotel over and over again. For couples, solo travelers, and or even a day pass (yes, they offer that) Hotel Bloum is a perfect stop for your stay in Paris!
I’ll be back for you, Hotel Bloum; keep the chocolate croissants waiting.
